How to Enable the minimize and maximize button in Gnome 3 (Ubuntu 11.10)

Steps :

1. Install first Gconf-editor with below command
      
              sudo apt-get install gconf-editor

2. Open the gconf-editor and browse this path

        desktop > gnome > shell > windows

 

1. On the right pane of the window , change the “button_layout” entry from:

               :close

          to    
            
               :minimize,maximize,close

      then hit enter.

1. Close gcon-editor and logout the current session.
